Everything about this wedding was special. Patrick and Lisa had dated 20 years ago. And like most relationships at that age, you break up and move on. Fast-forward to last year: with the magic of Facebook they found each other again. I couldn’t help but notice the way they looked at each other the whole day and you could see they are undeniably in love.  The wedding was at Lisa’s parents’ Rancho De Philo Winery that has been in the family for years. It was such beautiful backdrop for such an amazing day. These two have such great people in their lives who did everything and anything to make this day possible.

Another very cool thing about shooting this wedding is that I have known Patrick for 15 years and Jeff has too. Turns out that Jeff and Patrick worked together 15 years ago at a record shop. I cut Patrick’s hair at that time. I used to go to that record shop to say hi to Patrick.  Fast-forward 11 years: talking with Patrick about this great guy I just met, we realize it is the same Jeff.  It was so great for us to see Patrick so happy and to be a part of this special day. We truly are elated for these two.  Congratulations Patrick and Lisa!!!

Lisa and Adam have amazing energy and are a super fun couple who adore each other.  Pretty much down for anything I suggested, which I love. Their wedding is coming up this fall and I can’t wait. It’s going to be really cool and a photographer’s dream!  We visited some of San Francisco’s iconic spots the other day (with their sweet little puppy Dexter) like the Palace of Fine Arts and Chrissy Field because this couple loves this city.  We also stopped by this awesome mural on Haight Street. We had perfect light and even beat the rain!

Lisa told me she cried when she looked at the pictures.  In what other job could I possibly enjoy making people cry and not be completely wrong?

I had the honor of meeting Brenda and Libby the other day and to shoot their Maternity Session.  Not only are they a super sweet couple and so excited about this baby, but Brenda and Libby own Brenda’s French Soul Food, a place I have been dying to try but have never quite made it to.  The word on the street is that the brunch is amazing!  It’s really pretty cool – you never know who you might meet. I am such a foodie and it was like a brush with celebrity – kind of.  It was really nice walking through Golden Gate Park talking about following your passion, whether it be cooking or photography.  I wish them all the luck and I can’t wait to get to Brenda’s French Soul Food and get a beignet or two!

“It’s A Bird… It’s A Plane… ” No, it’s Angie and Brian and they are Super in-love!  With each other, of course, but also with comic books.  So, I had the idea of doing their shoot in this amazing little comic book store/lounge called Isotope on Fell Street in San Francisco.  James, the owner, was very nice letting us do the shoot in his fantastic shop. This place is wall-to-wall comic books and other cool things (like his collection of custom-designed toilet seats that line the walls).  Angie and Brian were like kids in a candy store… or… kids in a comic book store.  They had a great time looking through the shelves and grabbing their favorites. We even got  James into the shoot.  Then we headed to the spaceship sculpture on the SF Embarcadero to round out the shoot.  It seemed appropriate.
