It was time to clean out my iPhone ( a.k.a. my diary)  Past adventures SXSW, Coachella, The Salton Sea, SF, babysitting my niece.

It was a prefect day – warm. Spring was on it’s way. Frank and Rebecca wanted to do part of their engagement shoot at a winery. They found Truett Hurst Winery. The plan was to do a few shots there then move on to another location but once we saw how beautiful this place was we didn’t leave. We had a great time shooting around the winery . The winery had a beautiful garden, a river with cool red chairs alongside and adorable goats and sheep.

I am so excited for their wedding. These two are so sweet and just lovely to be around. I kept overhearing them telling how much they love each other during the shoot. It made me smile as I “worked”!

Anyone who knows me probably knows I have a hopeless case of puppy love.  That is, of course, I absolutely love doggies.  I keep a list of possible names for a future dog in my life (I’m partial to “Lola” right now for some reason).  One of my goals in life is to have a house with yard – so we can finally get a dog!  These furry family members make my heart just about melt simply passing by when I’m walking down the street.

Given all of this, it’s probably no surprise that I was thrilled to be interviewed by Janine of Dogster for a nice little article on including your four-legged friends in engagement or couple’s photo sessions.  You can read the interview here.

Oh Ashley and Vince are so sweet!  We hit up Chinatown and the Presidio for their engagement session.  Chinatown can be crowded and challenging to shoot in sometimes but Ashley and Vince were on board to give it a try!  So happy it worked out!

Happy Engagement you two!

A boudoir (French: [bu.dwaʁ], English: /ˈbuːd.wɑːr/) is a lady’s private bedroom, sitting room or dressing room. The term derives from the French verb bouder, meaning “to be sulky” or boudeur, meaning “sulky”.
photography |fəˈtägrəfē|noun – the art or practice of taking photographs.

Jen: I want to start start doing more Boudoir Sessions.

Jeff: Boudoir as in “glamour shots with boas”?

Jen: No silly, as in I want to create sexy and beautiful images for women who might be too busy in their day-to-day lives to feel confident and sexy.

Jeff: I don’t get it.

Jen: Cuz you’re a boy! Women want to feel glamorous (not in the “glamour shot” way) but in a sexy way. And maybe they haven’t felt that way in a while…

Jeff: I still don’t get it.

Jen: Imagine you’re a mom who has now traded in your Jimmy Choos for a pair of Nikes…

Jeff: Who is Jimmy Choo?

Jen: Remember the shoot I did for that client that was nervous about her session? She only did it because her friend got her the gift certificate. Anyway, of course she had fun and after she saw the images from her boudoir session I got a text saying “I am really loving myself after our photo shoot”. How powerful is that?!

Jeff: Are you going to need me for these shoots?

Jen: No! Girls only!

I am pleased to announce the launch of “The Boudoir Sessions”.
