Anyone who knows me probably knows I have a hopeless case of puppy love.  That is, of course, I absolutely love doggies.  I keep a list of possible names for a future dog in my life (I’m partial to “Lola” right now for some reason).  One of my goals in life is to have a house with yard – so we can finally get a dog!  These furry family members make my heart just about melt simply passing by when I’m walking down the street.

Given all of this, it’s probably no surprise that I was thrilled to be interviewed by Janine of Dogster for a nice little article on including your four-legged friends in engagement or couple’s photo sessions.  You can read the interview here.

Jennifer and Robert’s wedding took place at Fairyland by Lake Merritt in Oakland. It was a magical place I went to as a kid and I remember it fondly. It was fun to come back and experience the magic in a whole new way – by photographing a wedding!  Such a fun backdrop to such a sweet day!

Barbados is pretty much one of the best places on earth. The air is warm, the water is hypnotic with shades of blues and greens, and you just can’t help but feel happy here.  It might be the rum punch but I am pretty sure it’s this island.  Chrissie and Dave felt the same way when they came here and knew it was the place to celebrate their wedding. Which was good for us, because we got to go and capture it.  The Crane Resort was a perfect place to celebrate.  We were in awe of this backdrop against which we were able to capture the day and this inspiring couple. Truly an amazing experience.  I will forever have this wedding and Barbados in my heart!

Since I was on an island on Halloween this shoot didn’t get posted in time.  I had to pleasure to collaborate with some talent people for this shoot. It was a fall wedding inspired shoot with a little Halloween thrown in. It was a lot of fun and even the rain didn’t stop us.

Jessica was like a kid on Christmas morning. Excitement was in the air of  The Citizen Hotel. The room was busy with bridesmaids helping Jessica prepare for this amazing day, this day that Jessica gets to marry her very best friend Danny.  She was just glowing.  The wedding was beautiful- vintage details, amazing bouquets by Visual Impact Designs and those Badgley Mischka shoes (LOVE!).

  Danny and Jessica are perfect together. They are so sweet and kind you just want to be around them. It was a great day and I am so happy for them- Congratulation! They really bring a smile to my face.

Lisa and Adam are not only lucky to have each other but they are also fortunate to have such amazing people in their lives. This was so evident at their gorgeous “Mad Hatter-styled” wedding at Viansa Vineyards. This day was so special and there were so many great details from the custom tux worn by the ring bearer (Dexter, their dog) to the amazing, rhinestone-studded shoes Lisa wore! – HOT!  Everyone got ready at the same house – there was such a festive feel in the air.

But what really made it special was all the tears and kind words friends and family expressed for them. They talked about how perfect they were for each other and how they are both better for knowing each other.  It was great day and we were go glad to capture it all!

Dana and John make me smile.  Maybe it’s that Dana and John did a pinkie swear during their vows, or maybe it’s the s’mores Bar at the reception or the sparklers at the end of the night.  All these things show that they know how to have fun. That’s how they are with each other. Their wedding was at the beautiful  Carmel Vally Ranch and featured amazing floral work by The Petal Company.

It was a fun day. They are just the sweetest people and I am so happy for them…. I  pinkie swear!
