So Long Transbay Terminal…

The Transbay Terminal is set for demolition very soon to make room for a new and improved version. It has been a huge part of San Francisco since 1939. The other day they opened their doors and allowed the public to tour the “back stage” for the last time. It’s no Grand Central Station, but it’s ours. This icon has truly been a huge part of the history of this great city and I think it will be missed. I even got a little teary-eyed walking around. I hate to see old things forgotten about or destroyed. I feel preservation is important. Leaving a story behind for our children and their children. Sure it’s dated, but I think there is something really great about that.
