There’s the family you are born into, and there’s the family you choose. Kristen met Eric through Eric’s younger sister Julia, who was Kristen’s college roommate (and still one of her best friends today). After seeing each other occasionally over the years, Kristen and Eric’s relationship blossomed while planning a group trip to Costa Rica. Keeping their relationship secret for a while, they eventually came clean to both of their families. As Kristen explained it, “I think I won the marriage jackpot — I get Eric AND Julia AND the whole beautiful family in one fell swoop.”The joining of these two families was so lovely to witness and document. Kristen & Eric celebrated their fun Glamping Wedding Weekend at the rustic Reinstein Ranch. Loved ones came from all around the country to share the day with them in the warm California sun, though one very special family member was missing. Kristen’s mom passed away, and her presence was greatly missed, but her spirit was strongly felt. Highlights of the day: two very fun first looks, one with her Dad and, of course, the Groom. The festive second line brought us to the dance floor and some awesome dance moves!
