Recently, I had the opportunity to capture a magical engagement session in the breathtaking Marin Headlands. The Headlands is short car ride over the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco and through a very long tunnel with a very long light. The scenic landscape served as the perfect backdrop for this dreamy engagement photo shoot, filled with what makes the California coast so unforgettable. In a way, their engagement session is a sweet little love letter to the place that they have called home for a long time. Shortly after this session, they were about to pack up their belongs and moving across the globe to a new adventure. They were starting a new life in a new country. I couldn’t help but think about this. With each click of the camera and capturing their genuine emotions, allowing us to immortalize this special chapter in their lives in place they had loved for so long.
Why do I love The Marin Headlands? This place exudes beauty and serenity. The rugged cliffs, rolling hills, and sometimes green and sometimes golden fields provided the perfect canvas for these unforgettable moments. The Headlands offers such a diversity on beauty and options for a session. It always on the top of my list. In Winter months, you can take advantage of the soft, golden light during the golden hour, when the sun is beginning to set. This created a magical glow that added an extra touch of enchantment to every frame. In the summer the fog is thick and usually present but still as magical.
I am so happy for these two and I cant wait for the wedding. Looking forward to hearing about their new adventure and see if it’s staring to feel like home yet.
