Martina said, “Palace of Fine Arts! That’s where we want to do our engagement shoot.” Perfect, I thought. The Palace of Fine Arts is so quintessential San Francisco and it has such fond memories for me. When we were kids my parents used to take my sister and I there. We lived closed by and would spend lazy Sundays walking around the lake, feeding the ducks and starring endlessly at the amazing architecture and the pretty ladies on the structure. It feels like home!
It was a typical
summer day in San Francisco – FREEZING! We got to the location… not only was it cold, the Palace was under construction. I must have missed the memo. Construction? Really?!
After my initial shock… I had to make it work.
Martina and Arnold are just very warm people (well – they were freezing like I was of course but they were warm as in “friendly and sweet”) We had a lovely time walking around the lake getting some great shots with the Palace, then around back and then over to the marina. It’s great to see Martina and Arnold together. There is a song called Home by
Edward Sharp and The Magnetic Zeros.…… “Home is whenever I am with you” they sing. That’s what I feel when I am with Jeff and I got the feeling Martina and Arnold together are indeed HOME as well!
We are looking forward to shooting the wedding in September.
