Martina and Arnold are an extremely sweet couple. They are the kind of people that when you first meet them you feel welcome. I remember introducing myself. I went to shake Martina’s hand, and she said “No, we hug.”
The wedding day was not exception.
Martina was glowing. She might have been the happiest girl alive… a little nervous, but SO happy. I really love capturing the ritual of “getting ready”. For Martina, it was at the Hotel Shatuck Plaza. A few close friends and family helped. There was a small hiccup when the cherished handkerchief of her late father went missing. She wanted something to be with her that represented him. Martina was panicked but her Aunt saved the day with his old wallet that contained his Costco card in it. Marina took a deep breath, dabbed the tears away and her smile was back!
The wedding was traditional and beautiful. The reception was fun and you could feel the love in the room. There was an amazing dessert table. Best part? The cake toppers were Princess Leia and Han Solo!
