Tien and Mike’s Wedding
The great thing about being a wedding photographer (besides getting to taste an incredible variety of cakes) is all the amazing personal touches people do for their weddings. Whether it’s a groom writing a song for his bride, the couple busting out with some great dance number reminiscent of Fred and Ginger, or amazing tear-jerking vows. Tien and Mike’s wedding was one of those weddings. Tien is a very talented woman. She is very passionate about the weaving arts. Not only did she design and make her wedding dress and coat, she actually wove all the fabric she used. There was so much detail, meaning and care that went into it. Tien wrote about the dress here. Everywhere there is meaning and symbols of love and happiness. From the details in the dress, the coat, cake and even their rings. Not to mention the hand-crafted bottles of wine for the day that her brother made. It was a very special day for a very special couple. I always feel so honored to be a part of it. Especially if they let me try the cake!
