A Redwood Wedding at Deer Park Villa: Bri & Adarsh
Some venues do half the work for you, and Deer Park Villa is one of them. Tucked into the redwoods off Bolinas Road in Fairfax, it’s about 30 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge, but it feels a world away. Bri and Adarsh’s wedding on June 27 was everything I love about a Marin County wedding: tall trees, soft light, and a whole lot of heart.
A first look and private vows
Bri and Adarsh chose a first look on a quiet, tree-lined path. Adarsh waited with his back turned, and when he finally saw her, that smile said it all. Then they read vows to each other, just the two of them, before the rest of the day began. A first look gives you space to actually feel the day, and these two soaked it in.
A ceremony in the Enchanted Forest
Deer Park Villa’s ceremony site is a circle of redwoods the venue calls the Enchanted Forest, and it really does feel like a cathedral. Guests settled in while live strings played, and the florals framing the altar were lush and wild in the best way.
Bri walked down the aisle with her Dad, and their hug at the end of it got me. A few vows, one big kiss, and they were married, walking back up the aisle to cheers.
Bri & Adarsh
After the ceremony, we slipped away for portraits. Between the long gravel path, the shady trees, and the pink blooms, there’s a beautiful backdrop around every corner at Deer Park Villa. My favorite part was watching them relax and just enjoy each other. Those in-between moments always make the best photos.
The wedding party brought the color in shades of burgundy, rust, and rose, which looked amazing against all that green.
Dinner under the redwoods
Cocktail hour flowed into dinner at long tables set right beneath the trees, glowing with candles and string lights. The toasts had everyone laughing. Bri and Adarsh shared their first dance outdoors, right there under the redwoods.
After dessert, the party moved inside to the Dance Hall, and the dance floor didn’t empty until the very end.
Thinking about a Deer Park Villa wedding?
If you love the idea of getting married under the redwoods without leaving the Bay Area, Deer Park Villa is hard to beat. Plan for portraits on the path and in the gardens, and if you can, build in time for a first look before guests arrive. You’ll be so glad you did.
Bri and Adarsh, thank you for letting me be part of such a beautiful day.
